Today we went back to Ogata Koi Farm as they contacted us to say they had some new Koi Available for us to look at, this also included going off the farm to the other green house to look at some really high show quality Koi that not only can be entered into the All Japan and the International Koi show but can also stay as Azukari, so it was a day we could not miss.
So once again we made a great selection from their better new Koi, including some fabulous Budo Goromo,Sanke,Showa,Shiro and Kohaku,after this we then went to another green house where we selected 8 really nice quality Tosai Platinum Ogons which measured app 32-35 and these will be available at a very good price considering the quality.
We then went off the farm with Manabu and his son Yusuke who we have known since he was a very young boy of 5-6yrs old he’s now 27 where have the years gone…..once there we were allowed to have a pond netted which held his very special best Tosai available really super high quality all Japan Koi standard, so we duley went through the pond and i originally selected 8 super pieces and these were all individually then priced up by Ogata San, (Time to sit down lol) these are very high quality and so the price reflected this and after a period of speaking with Ogata San we purchased 5 which will all not only be going to the All Japan and the International Koi show but stying as Azuakri also,so overall a very pleasing day and super happy with our purchases.

Fabulous Budo Goromo no farm or breeder in Japan breeds better Budo Goromo than Ogata San doe, and we managed to purchase these in the bowl and are super happy we got them as they are steadily becoming harder and harder to obtain due to their rising popularity and demand, so if this is a variety you like you will do no better than add one to your pond from Ogata.
Again selected today 3 really good quality Sanke and 1 Showa these are again really really good quality and will make fabulous Koi going forward especially for those that can grow Tosai on and once through to Nisai will seem a bargain.
Two exceptional quality Kohaku and Shiro Utsuri again given the right growing and keeping conditions will represent great value for money once grown to Nisai.
Super white Platinum Ogons a Koi that really does stand out in your pond and every pond should have at least one,these are approx 32-35cm a reall great size to start them growing on from only available so be quick if you would like to reserve one.
