Today is a day we always look forward to, visiting Ueno Koi Farm, Ueno San is mostly known for his breeding of Showa but he also breeds other varieties inc Sanke,Kohaku,and now superb Ochiba, but until you get there you just never know what he decided to breed that year always Showa, but what else…… but a farm we do so much look forward to going on as there always seems to be something well worth selecting, so lets see what happens today………

Well as always it was a very enjoyable day spent at the Ueno Koi farm with Hiroki Ueno,we did manage to purchase some very nice Tosai Showa,we also purchased two superb female Showa for a customer these will be staying in the care of Ueno San for the next 1,2 yrs,
Another really top quality male Showa was also found for another customer who clearly sees the advantages by not concerning himself as to whether its male or female,
Another purchase we made we managed to secure an outstanding Showa it was one of the Showa Ueno San displayed in his dream Koi pool at the All Japan Koi Show and after discussing this Koi with ueno San he said it must stay in Japan so again this will be staying as Azukari…..Roll on Autumn
Again as always Ueno san surprised us this year, he is having a go at breeding Gin Rin Showa and Gin Rin Shiro so we netted a pond and purchased around 50 pieces just so we can give them a go and see how they turn out,these were only very small though approx 10-13cm but we will be growing these on lets see how they do………
