Today we will be going to Ogata Koi Farm where we will be selecting many Tosai including our baby Tosai more to follow………
We have spent the whole day today on Ogata Koi Farm selecting our Baby Tosai, and some Jumbo Tosai, we managed to hand select over 300 baby Tosai and they are superb quality and measure approx 15-18cm and many different varieties also, we then went through a Jumbo Tosai pond and selected 35 mainly Go-Sanke the skin on these was not brilliant white but we know these are heavily fed on colour food which does alter the Shiroji ,but we also know from experience that once back to the UK and put onto a non colour food in just a few short weeks the skin will be back to looking superb again…….tomorrow we will return to Ogata Koi Farm to not only select more Tosai but to check up on our Azukari Koi and make those all important decisions on what to leave again and which ones to ship home…..
