Today we will visit Ueno Koi Farm to hopefully select some really nice Tosai Showa as well as look at 2 Azukari Koi we have there,its always such an enjoyable day when we visit this farm and the hospitality shown to us by Ueno San is 2nd to none,we have now been going to this farm for quite a few years now and have built up a very good relationship with Ueno San, we will catch the Shinkansen from Kurume to Shin-Tamana where Ueno San will collect us and then drive us to his farm in Kumomoto.

Well interesting day with Ueno San we purchased some small Tosai Showa and Sanke, yes thats right Sanke……! he as spawned Sanke this year again we have in the past purchased Sanke before from Ueno San which have been very good indeed, in fact i had one as Azukari there which got to 85cm but sadly died and,his Sanke have superb Shiroji and Beni quality and good bodies too so these smaller ones will make great growing on projects for not a lot of money,we also found out he now is also producing Ochiba and we got to see some of these although still very small Ueno San said he would select some for us and add them to our shipment but from those we got to see we think these will be very nice indeed,we have also purchased an sublime show quality Karashigoi from Ueno San who purchased these from Okawa as Jumbo Tosai and has grown them on, these are the same Jumbo bloodline we had last year which come from Okawa who’s parent Koi are Konishi and Sakai,we have also purchased some extremley high quality male showa fabulous show Koi more to follow on this later………..
